Sailing
The Ruffian is back in action! New sailing schedule is now on the web in the members area. If you want to go sailing on any of the scheduled sessions then contact one of the organisers. More sessions can be added to meet demand.
Sailing this Holiday weekend
Dinghy session Saturday (June 4) at 10AM Contact Joan Connolly if you plan to sail.
Dinghy Sailing Bank Holiday Monday at 3PM, moved to afternoon in honour of the bank holiday.

Membership incentive
SID needs more members and we need you to be involved in the promotion of the club and encourage more members to join! Between now and the end of June 2005 if you get one or more persons to join at the membership fee of €300 we will
reward YOU for every new member you get to the tune of €25 Just get the new member to put your name as a reference on the membership form or deliver the membership form yourself. (Reward does not apply to 2004 members who re-join for 2005). Let me know if you want posters! So if you know anyone interested in sailing why not bring them along as a visitor to try it out. Max of 2 visits at €20 a visit so they can try Ruffian sailing and dinghy sailing (if the have a wetsuit). If they join, any visitor fees paid are refundable against the membership fee.Members area on website and Yahoo group
There is a members area on our website which contains safety, sailing and other useful information. Please use it! If you cannot access the web site or the membership area please let me know. Also this mail is being sent to all members email addresses but the intention is to only send it to the the yahoo group list ONLY in future. If you are not receiving mails from the yahoo group you will be missing out on emails regarding sailing etc so please let

The weather is one of the important factors to be considered before going out sailing. Dinghies go out up to Force 4 winds and the Ruffian can go out up to Force 6. (also dependent on other conditions such as crew abilities etc.) Get used to checking the weather forecasts:
